Comment Wizard - Grading tool for instructors-teachers

Comment Wizard is an MS Word 2007 add-in, created to enhance Microsoft Word 2007. Instructors just got a new tool that will drastically save time spent on grading. Comment Wizard allows quick and easy commenting on surface issues in student's essays, projects, and assignments, allowing more time for in-depth responding. Simply highlight the text where you want to insert a comment, select a comment from the list, and click the insert button.

Because the interface is familiar, as Comment Wizard looks and works as a part of Word, the learning curve is minimal, and the use natural. Comment Wizard behaves like other task panes in the Microsoft Office system. Users can dock Comment Wizard to different sides of the application window, or they can drag Comment Wizard to any location on the screen. If it is not in use, Comment Wizard can be closed by clicking the close button, or called back by simple clicking of Comment Wizard tab on the Ms Word ribbon.

Comment Wizard comes with preloaded set of comments that can be used for grading essays, primarily for writing instructors. However, its features will allow any user to add additional comments that can be used for grading of any kind of assignment. Comments are grouped in three groups: Content, Organizations and Mechanics. By clicking one of the tree buttons Content, Organization or Mechanic, the list of comments changes and users have new set of comments at their fingertips. Comment Wizard is backed-up by Access database, so that the user can add new comments or delete the old ones.

Adding a new comment is a straightforward. Users do not need to leave the application. By simply clicking on Add button on Comment Wizard pane, a new window will open up. Here, the user can directly enter new comments and save it to the list for future use. Because the comments are alphabetized, it is easy to locate them when needed.
